In Suo-Oshima Town, Yamaguchi Prefecture, which is said to attract many day-trippers, efforts are underway to shift to longer-stay tourism. A resort hotel affiliated with Toda Construction has renovated to encourage longer stays, including by increasing the number of rooms with open-air baths, while the Setouchi Brand Corporation (SBC, Hiroshima City), which promotes tourism, will open a glamping facility in August. A local high school is working on creating content that will encourage people to stay longer.
